CARMABI has recently received substantial funding from the Dutch Government to built new accommodations for visiting scientists together with a new laboratory and library.

The building of this new four story building will start sometime in December 2009.
To fully accommodate the desires of visiting researchers CARMABI also strives to expand its laboratory equipment in the near future so the new lab will become a state-of-the-art research station in the Caribbean.

People or organizations that want to help achieve this goal by contributing to the planned expansion of the CARMABI are invited to contact Dr. M. Vermeij ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
